Discussion about new members for the programme committee. It was decided to ask Rasmus Nielsen to be PC-chair

Speakers for Bioinformatics Conference 2007 August/September we will start inviting speakers for next years conference.

Promotion of Bioinformatics Conference

The number of participants has continued to decrease duringrecent years. Discussions was made about the reason, how to solve this. It was discussed that changes to the format might help but that was dependent on how easy it was to get to a particular location. It was generally believed that the scientific qality and price was the two major factors. Ideally the fee for students should not exceed 150 Euros, but that is only possible of the cost of invited speakers was covered by sponsors. It was decided to check for funding from "baltic" foundations.
