Call for Bioinformatics 2007

Bioinformatics 200x is the annual meeting of the Society for Bioinformatics in the Nordic Countries (Socbin). It is hosted within one of the Nordic/Baltic countries and has previously been held in Lund Sweden, Helsingor Denmark, Skovde Sweden, Bergen Norway, Helsinki Finland, Linkoping Sweden, and Tartu Estonia. The 2006 meeting will be held in Aarhus Denmark. The meeting typically includes a full program of 21 invited speakers divided over 5 sessions plus a keynote speaker given to an audience of 250-400 international participants. We welcome bids from groups interested in hosting Bioinformatics 2007 (the ninth annual meeting), to be held sometime in the period March-June, 2007. Bids should include information on timing, location and facilities, a preliminary budget, a suggested program schedule, and other pertinent information. Please submit bids electronically to liberles@uwyo.edu and to arne@sbc.su.se by December 31, 2005. The Socbin board will then work with potentially interesting bids to optimize them and make a final selection.
